Yes, our market is cooling off, but I believe it’s temporary.
I get asked every day if the market is cooling off or not. In short, yes. The market has cooled off in the last few weeks as it usually does this time of year with school and sports starting. The real question is: Is this going to be permanent or temporary?
We started seeing the buyer activity tick back up last week, so I believe this slowdown is temporary. It looks like there will be another spur of activity before the end of the year.
Now is a great time for buyers because interest rates are still low, and you’ll have more time to look for homes. Homes used to be on the market for only a couple of days, but now we’re starting to see them stay up for a week or two. However, prices are still staying high.
Sellers, you won’t have to be as rushed either. It’s still a good time to sell. You have a little more time to polish up the home a bit to get top dollar for it. As long as interest rates stay low, the market will stay hot.
If you’re buying or selling, I’d love to talk you through the process. Even if you just have a few questions about real estate, feel free to give me a call.
